  • Hey all, some great news here…”Split by Unity” has been officially accepted into Pandora’s Music Genome Project. Although it can take up to three months before the album goes live on Pandora, we are extremely happy that once it does the album will be exposed to tens of thousands of new listeners over the years to come!!!

  • There are lots of great things on the horizon!  We have additional members joining us for our future shows, which will include live video backdrop and sound-scape segues for an audio/visual experience that we think you will enjoy.  We also have three new songs in the works that we plan to release as singles by the end of this summer or in the early fall and that will also appear on our sophomore album anticipated to be completed in late 2014.

  • For those of you who love ‘Tool,’ and progressive rock in general (as we do), please check out Sean Powell’s blog.  An avid music fan with an open mind and well-versed writing style, Sean delves into the ‘genre’ of ‘Tool’ and introduces readers to many great bands of similar traits in various aspects of musicality (including ~dr~).   Keep up the great writing Sean! We are humbled by any list that mentions ~dr~ in the same vein as bands such as Tool, APC, Riverside and Katatonia.

Chuck from ~dr~ opening the first official proof of the ‘Split by Unity’ physical CD on 4/1/13, which will be available via amazon within the next few weeks. Digital downloads of the album have been and will continue to be available at all major online music retailers.

  • Our new friend Artur over at mlwz.pl in Poland has been spinning some Divine Ratio on his radio station there. Check out the playlist, some other great bands are in there, including Steve Wilson!
  • Also, a wonderful review of ‘Split by Unity’ penned by Artur Chachlowski at MLWZ in Poland, which among other things, notes the album as “an early favorite in the category of the greatest discovery of 2013.” You can view the full review below, although you might need to translate it :-) . Barring any unforeseen preemptive Mayan prophecies coming to fruition, Divine Ratio’s first full length release ‘Split by Unity’ will be officially released and available at all major online digital retailers (iTunes, Amazon, Napster, Spotify, Last.fm, eMusic, Zune, etc.) on or before 9/1/12.  We will of course let you know when the specific date is set and/or if any delays occur. Physical copies of the album will be available for purchase as well before the end of the year, as artwork, extras, and quantities are still being determined.

Although I’m a bit obsessed with all that is Floyd and Gilmour, there is no doubt that I am fortunate to have and continue to live during same time as, IMHO, the greatest singer, songwriter, and guitarist that humanity has ever seen and heard. Thank you Mr. Gilmour for your ethereal, haunting, powerful and brilliant musicianship and please give us many more years of your genius.

  • First off we hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday season and great start to the New Year. Lot’s of things on the horizon for us this year. We are closing down on the album and are confident for an early Spring release. We will be launching a new website to coincide with the event as well as staging a CD release party. In the meantime we have decided to let you hear one more premix track that will be featured on the album for limited time only. We threw some temporary video together as a backing for it as well. The track, entitled “One Less God” will be made available for streaming on our YouTube channel from early Friday morning on the 13th until late Sunday night, the 15th. Although the track is not fully mixed nor mastered it will give you a general feel for the sound we are shooting for with this record.   • 5/12/11 marked the 2nd year anniversary of the last show we played. Amazingly we have generated a larger fan base since then! As we head into the last legs of the album we are excited about playing live again & touring as much as possible! Although we have turned down some great gigs in the past two years, the time for us to crank the wattage is approaching. These shows will be unlike anything we have done before!
